Best Time to Visit Sri Lanka
November to April is the best time for Sri Lanka’s west and south coasts — dry and sunny, perfect for beach holidays in Colombo, Galle, and Bentota.
May to September suits the east coast (Arugam Bay, Trincomalee) and whale watching near Trincomalee.
The hill country (Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella) can be visited year-round; January to April gives the clearest skies and best mountain views.
For travellers from Bangladesh, December to March is the ideal window — dry weather across the island and perfect conditions for the complete Sri Lanka experience.
