Itinerary of Chittagong City Day Tour:

In the morning:

We will start from your place of residence and start towards Baizid Bostami Majar. Though it is considered to be a ritual place for traditional muslim but you will find people of other religion paying their tribute to the tomb.  There are some old rear turtles  there which are regarded as sacred animal and feed by special foods(found is the near by shops) by the visitor as a symbol of fulfillment of their wish.

Moving towards the heart of the city, we will visit a museum located in Chittagong Circuit House build in the British period. The museum represents the life of one of most famous president of Bangladesh who was assausaned in the very house. Walking from the museum, we will look at some establishment of British period like Railway Station, 7 Jongson road, tiger pass etc.

In the Afternoon:

We will have lunch to a popular restaurant and start moving towards Vatieary and visit the Vatieary Lake and have a walk in Ship Break Year shops and get a glance of the life of people attaching with Ship Breaking.

Go to the Patenga Sea Beach and roam around nearby beach market. You can enjoy the roaring sea and its waves crashing over the stones.

The river karafuli, by which the city stands meets the sea in the nearby area. We will go to the Estuary of the river and set for some fresh breath. You may enjoy spicy crab fry and snakes setting on the wall of river. We may have a boat ride in Karnaphuli River if time and tide permits (Depending on weather and availability).

OR

Visit Ship Breaking Yards, using a local boat. Where you will find big ships are desimanated for re-user.
Special Note: Access to ship breaking yards are restricted and  we will be using local fishermen’s boat to explore the area. Photography is also restricted and you will not be allowed to use long lence camra

Afterwards we will drop you to your place of residence and the tour ends.

Optional Attraction

5:30 am – 7:00 am: We will take you to SadarGhat, a place where all fisher men gathers to sale their sea treasures (Fish) caught over night or during stay in sea. You will find a busy market place and people in rush carrying fishes (some of which are really big) and ices and people are shouting to sale them to intended buyer.

7:00 am to 7:30 am:Breakfast in local restaurant. If you are adventurous, we may have breakfast with Bone’s Soup and Tanduri (Oven baked rounded bread)
