Itinerary of  Traveling in Overnight Steamer Journey in Bangladesh:

Day 01:

10 am to 5:30 pm: We will meet with you in you Hotel/Airport and immediately will start our Dhaka City Tour. It will be a regular city tour that will cover all the tourist attraction of Dhaka and establishments of Old Dhaka. First of all, you will be taken to the Parliament House, Dhaka University area, Dhakeshwari Temple, Lalbug fort, Star Mosque, Armenian Church and The Pink Palace(Ahsan Monjil). 6:00 pm to Over Night:  Afterwords, in the evening you will be at Shadarghat area from where you will ride the water vessel  and travel towards Barishal. You will be staying overnight at your private 1st class cabin and will experience economic activities in both side of river bed. As you get passed the city of Dhaka, you will start to enjoy the nature, mild bridge of river and sound of steamer of Bangladesh gently biting the water to move you forward. You will have your dinner in your room.

Exploring the Barishal backwater and country life in second day

Day 02:

6:00 am to 8:30 am: The Rocket will reach Barishal at around 5:30am depending on weather. You have to get early to catch the floating market that sets early in the morning in different village of Barishal. You will ride a tuktuk (we call it CNG) to reach on the bank of Shondha River from where back water trip will start. This is about 25 km journey and on the way you will have the breakfast.

8: 30 am to 5:00 pm: You will be exploring the backwater trip and riverside life of Bangladesh by local engine boat. On the path you will find unique floating vegetable gardens, colorful floating market. If it’s during rainy season, you may find a wood boat market along with Guava Market most of the day long. Equally you will move through rivers and canals and find different fishing techniques. Along the path you will see a mechanical boat workshop, wholesale Wood Business activities.

In the noon, you will have our lunch in a homely restaurant in the Atghar Kuriana Bazar and will move through Banaripara by watching wood apple, guava and batter leaf garden.

Therefore, you will explore Chakhar and step in Ser e Bangla museum. A two room museum demonstration life of Ser e Bangla (Tiger of Bengal), who lead Bangladesh during British Period. From there, you will ride Tuktuk again and come back to Barishal and in the way back spend few minutes to explore Guthia Mosque and DurgaShagor.

6:00 pm to Over Night: Therefore, it’s time to return journey. Since, you have experienced the rocket steamer, we will arrange the return journey by new vessel that local people travels now a days. If you are lucky enough to get a full moon in the sky, we reckon you would love spending time on the roof of steamer and have some time to think about OWN Life.

Day 03:

You will reach Dhaka, very early in the morning at around 06:00 AM and you will be dropped at your Hotel/Airport.

Special Note for this Tour:

• The tour is available only on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday. 
• if your date do not matches with the day above, you may let us know your preferred date so that we may try to arrange that tour from reverse order from Barishal.
• The boat in back water will be country engine boat. You may expect some noise from engine.
• Please ware comfortable dress and shoes as the humidity expected to be high. You may keep sun glasses, sunscreen lotion and umbrella for protection of your screen.
